Meet Fred McLin

Fred McLin III has dedicated his life to serving Rhode Island and the people who call it home. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University (Class of 2005), Fred has proudly called Rhode Island home ever since. He served 10 years in the National Guard, continuing his commitment to service as a Veterans Affairs Liaison for Congressman Gabe Amo, where he helped veterans access critical support and resources.

With a background rooted in advocacy and a deep belief in empowering communities, Fred is running for Lieutenant Governor to ensure every Rhode Islander has a voice and a fair shot at opportunity. His leadership is grounded in transparency, trust, and listening—bringing people together to deliver practical solutions that grow small businesses, create jobs, and strengthen families across the state.
